Even at the height of His fame, Jesus retained the ability to escape. He loved to stroll early in the morning by Himself and be with His Father. It's worth noting. Even when people demanded much of Him, even when He could have been participating in noble ministry around the clock, even when people were ready to follow Him to death, He managed to create space and withdraw.

Let me be fair. Life gets busy. Even Jesus made adjustments to His planned escapes in order to minister to people. But this is the exception rather than the rule. For the most part, Jesus made time for quietness every day.

So I ask: does your life have quiet and space? It's difficult to hold on to, but it's an important part of being a Christian. This is sacred ground where we can rejuvenate, release the things that have been burdening us, and most importantly be with the Father.
