Have I mentioned that Jesus values your decisions? 

He does. If He wasn't interested in people choosing Him, then the cross wouldn't have been necessary. He could have made people without the ability to misbehave, but He vetoed that option. He chose to let you choose. And by "choose" I mean "salvation", yes, but also I mean everyday. What you pick matters to God.

And don't be like me, thinking that this all about right or wrong. Sure, you can look at it that way, but this is love we're talking about here. We're talking about responding to the one who is wooing us.

So today I don't ask you to pick Jesus because it's the right thing to do. I don't ask if you are saved. I wonder if you remember how free you are, that every choice is paid for by God, wanted by God. I wonder if you are looking to Jesus even in the daily and mundane. Today I ask if you are saying "yes" to the one who ransomed you and means to ravish you.
