"Just fix it!"
Have you ever told God that?
This may have come from a pre-supostition that God being good means that he ought to fix your problems.
God is deeply compassionate; he knows and feels the pain of his children. In fact, he longs to share in your pain, to commune with you in it.
But the Christian life is not promised to be devoid of pain or problems (our example is Jesus). However, we are promised his presence. You may have trouble, even crippling trouble, but you are not alone. God is with you. And that is goodness.
