God knows all the things I want.
So why isn't life a string of God giving me what I want over and over? Seems like a good plan.
The simple truth is that we don't always know what's good for us and we don't always know what brings Him glory. There's a certain tension Christians must live in: God knows all about what I want, but He won't always give it to me (and beautiful stuff is grown in those places of tension).
In short, God doesn't give me what I want because He knows better.
I know that, Joshua.
Great. Apply it. At this time, what areas are you thinking "God if you were good, then..."
Meet Him there.
